  The workshop addressed the relationship of telomeres to cancer and their relationship to aging, with the benefit of the telomere region of the chromosome.
  It included the definition of the telomere, its structure, and its location on the chromosome.
  The role of the telomere in the development and spread of cancer was also discussed, in addition to the possibility of treating this disease by controlling its division, as research continues in this regard. The workshop concluded by clarifying the role of the telomere in aging and aging and the relationship of its length to the lifespan of the cells. As it becomes shorter, the cells cannot divide. Which causes organs and tissues to deteriorate, as often happens in old age.
