Under the patronage of the President of Al-Qadisiyah University, Professor Dr. Kazem Jabr Al-Jubouri, and under the supervision of the Dean of the College of Pharmacy, Assistant Professor Dr. Asaad Hassan Al-Zaidi, the College of Pharmacy held a discussion session on the concept of Antibiotic Resistance and the role of the pharmacist in reducing antibiotic resistance. The lecturer, pharmacist Iman Shaker Abbar, presented the session. She explained that the pharmacist is considered an important link in educating about antibiotic resistance. He also holds workshops or awareness sessions in the community about the importance of adhering to treatment and the risks that can result from patients’ non-adherence. He can also provide individual consultations to patients on how to improve their general health. This educational role is an essential part of a comprehensive strategy to combat antibiotic resistance
