The College of Pharmacy / Al-Qadisiyah University, within the activities of the Women’s Empowerment Unit in the college, organized a workshop on (Provincial Council Elections between Reality and Ambition) in cooperation with the Independent High Electoral Commission – Al-Qadisiyah Branch,
The workshop aimed to shed light on the concept of election, its nature, the conditions that must be met by the voter according to the law, and the conditions that must be met by law by the candidate for these elections.
In addition to how the candidate votes, the mechanism for counting votes, the number of seats allocated to each governorate, and the quota for women.
It also explained the Commission’s work mechanism, its modernization and registration, its mobile teams, the updating of biometric cards, the preparation for the elections, and the organization of the electoral process.
