Today, Sunday, November 19, 2023, the Women’s Empowerment Unit at the College of Pharmacy held a workshop entitled (Depression in Women) in the library hall at ten in the morning.

It shed light on the concept of depression and its causes on the one hand, and how to treat it on the other hand. The workshop concluded that all people are susceptible to depression, whether men or women, young or old, and even children can suffer from it, but women are twice as likely to suffer from depression as men.
It is possible to develop it at any age, and depression is linked to many factors, especially mood changes and hormonal changes usual in women. It is also linked to other vital factors, genetic characteristics, ways of life, and personal experiences.
