The official scientific journal of the International Team for Hereditary Cholesterolemia at the British Imperial College in London published in its issue issued today (Spring 2024 edition) the news of the initiative launched by the College of Pharmacy to form an alliance with the Iraqi Journalists Syndicate, Diwaniyah Branch, to confront the fake medical media and its role in undermining the efforts of medical personnel. and health authorities in the country
The periodical published a photo of the meeting hosted by the College of Pharmacy, which was represented by the Dean of the College, the Administrative Assistant, and a group of teaching staff with a delegation from the Journalists Syndicate, in which a set of outcomes were agreed upon, including expanding the work team to include a group of gentlemen from the executive authority in the Diwaniyah Governorate Council, in addition to organizing meetings. A radio station that delivers continuous speeches to the public by college teachers to make them aware of the dangers of slipping into the corridors of fake medical media that targets the lives of citizens.
It is noteworthy that this initiative launched by the College of Pharmacy is the first of its kind in Iraq and comes from the belief of the Deanship of the College in the role of the university in serving society.
