The Assistant Dean for Administrative Affairs at the College of Pharmacy, Assistant Professor Dr. Bassam Wafa Mahdi, chaired a committee to discuss a master’s thesis at the University of Kufa on 3/19/2024 under the title (Preparation and characterization of a new aerosol spray for burns from nanofibers loaded with silver sulfadiazine)
The thesis summarized the method for preparing and describing a new medicinal preparation in the form of aerosol spray consisting of nano-sized fibers loaded with silver sulfadiazine as an antibiotic to combat bacterial infections that affect wounds and burns. The presence of the substance in this medicinal form improves its action by increasing its distribution and surface area. Reducing the need for repeated use, it is also easy to use by the patient and medical staff, and reduces the possibility of contamination and pain, especially for burn patients.
