A lecturer at our college, Asst. Lect. Moataz Al-Sabah, attended the annual conference of the European Heart Association, which was held in the British capital, London, from August 30 to September 2. On the other hand, Al-Sabah attended the meetings of the International Council of Experts on Blood Lipids, which was held under the chairmanship of Poland on September 1st there, where the scientific research conducted by the council members was discussed. Al-Sabah also received an official invitation from the global pharmaceutical company, Imagen, to attend a working dinner with experts in preventive cardiology from Romania, Brazil, Argentina, and Mexico on Friday, August 30th. During the meeting, the plan for preventing heart disease that was launched in Europe this year was discussed, and Al-Sabah presented a summary of what was achieved in Iraq. On the other hand, Al-Sabah received an official invitation from the (Enuka) Foundation to attend the summit held in London on Tuesday, September 4th, where the summit discussed the disease of coronary artery insufficiency that is not compatible with its blockage. As a member of the Regional Federation of the World Atherosclerosis Society, Al-Sabah, accompanied by Ms. Michelle Wincor, CEO of the Society from the Washington office, visited the headquarters of the Syrian Arab Republic mission at the site of the heart disease conference there and met with Professor Yassin Bani Marjah, Head of the Cardiology Department at Al-Basel Hospital for Heart Diseases and Surgery, and discussed with him ways to support colleagues in Syria to improve heart disease care services in Syria. The European Medical Media conducted an interview with Al-Sabah in which he spoke about the heart disease prevention plan that he launched in Iraq and its importance in improving the lives of citizens there.<\/p>\n","protected":false},"excerpt":{"rendered":"
